Department Head (Mechanical, Electrical, & Civil)

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Leads, organizes and controls Projects Planning, Implementation, Design, Installation, and all aspects of assigned project (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Projects).
• Manage and implement the project on time and within the approved budget cost.
• Delegate Job Assignments to Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Supervisors, Senior Supervisor and CAD Specialist.
• Instruct and assist Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Supervisor on the fundamental of engineering in preparing plans.
• Review and approve plans, scope, specifications, concept designs and layout of all projects handled by the Supervisors for presentation to the Management.
• Validate the cost estimate thru Value Engineering and PR requisition raised by the Supervisors.
• Reviews the project schedule especially the critical path of all projects.
• Ensures that all Projects are in conformance with the Standards and Specifications of the Project Plan and Design.
• Verify the variation between delivery receipts and Bill of Quantity.
• Reviews the project schedule of all projects and verify the work stoppages claimed by the suppliers.
• Ensure that results acceptance documents are being agreed and signed by end-user and all concerned parties.
• Coordinate closely with different BUs to ensure success in the execution of tasks and in meeting the company’s goal and ideas.
• Implement and monitor adherence of Contractors, Suppliers, and Subcontractors to Company Rules and Regulations, and gives due Disciplinary Action as deemed necessary. Instruct and assist Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Supervisor on the fundamental of engineering in executing plans.
• Review and approve the documents required for Certificate of Project Completion.
• Review and approve the performance of the supplier based on the completed project.
• Assists the assigned auditor to validate the whole project as per purchase order / contract in absence of the supervisor.
• Performs administrative function within his area of responsibility such KPI and EPAS review, Weekly and Monthly Projects update, SWOT analysis, JSP / JCP analysis and other administrative requirement.
• Negotiates with Contractors the technical details for all mechanical, electrical and civil related issues that may affect project goal.
• Responsible for the efficient delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Projects while focusing on Cost, Quality, Safety, and Employee Environment.
• Regularly conducts general inspection of on-going jobs to ensure that it meets and conforms with the specifications as stated in the Scope and Specifications.
