Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM AEST (1-hour unpaid break)
Total Weekly Hours : 40 Hours

Our client seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support both strategic and operational HR needs across stores and departments. You will partner with senior leaders and store managers to provide expert HR guidance, ensure compliance, and manage key processes including recruitment, e-learning, and workers’ compensation. A strong understanding of Australian employment law and the General Retail Industry Award (GRIA) is essential.
Key Objectives
Screen and manage senior applicants through UKG and SEEK, ensuring interview readiness
Provide timely HR advice and information across all levels of the organisation
Ensure HR decisions and policies comply with state and federal regulations
Manage and create content for the company’s e-learning platform within UKG
Oversee Workers Compensation case management
Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business goals
Deliver accurate HR reporting and operational support
Serve as first point of contact for HR inquiries via the “One Stop Shop” system
Coach managers on employee development, performance management, and engagement strategies
Guide employee relations, investigations, grievances, and coaching
Lead HR initiatives including recruitment, retention, and learning & development programs
Administer visa processes for international applicants and team members
Manage Workers Compensation cases from claim lodgment to return-to-work coordination
Prepare documentation for disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievance hearings
Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in a generalist or advisory HR role
Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and GRIA
Experience managing Workers Compensation cases
Proficiency with HR systems (preferably UKG) and recruitment platforms like SEEK
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and operational staff
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable :
Experience in retail or multi-site businesses
Exposure to e-learning platform management and content development
